We know it is hard to find a place to take your pets so we are happy to have pets at the house as long as a few requests are met.

These conditions have been taken from another web site that we found and although some are a bit tough and they exclude very large dogs etc we hope they are fair and will suit most people. We do want to accommodate pets but not if they are going to cause problems to others using the house later or neighbors etc. We apologise to those whose pets do not meet the criteria but we need to ensure neighbours etc are happy.

All pets pay an additional flat fee of $50 (or $30 for 2 night stays)

All pets must:
- Not exceed 30Kg
- Be at least 1 year old
- Be up to date with vaccinations and flea prevention.
- Be on a leash when they leave the boundary of the property - ( what you do on other parts of the island is up to you but do note the dog ranger on the island has an eye like a hawk for unleashed dogs)

We also ask that:
- Guests are responsible for cleaning up any pet mess and droppings
- Pets are not allowed on any of the furniture. Any evidence of pets on the furniture may incur extra cleaning fees
- All pets have been treated for flea and ticks repellent 3 days prior to arrival
- Pets are prevented from producing excessive noise that could disturb the neighbors ( the odd bark is normal but if you have a dog that consistently barks when left etc please control this)
- Pets are not left unattended for an undue length of time either indoors or out - Pet should not be left unattended on the deck or porch

Sorry the following dog breeds are not permitted to stay

- Pit Bull - including the American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier, Staffordshire Bull Terrier, American Bulldog;
- Akita;
- Neapolitan Mastiff;
- Tosa;
- Bull Mastiff;
- Bull Terrier;
- Doberman Pinscher;
- German Shepherd or related Shepherd Dog breeds;
- Rottweiler;
- Perro de Presa Canario.
or crosses of any of the above

Liabilities:
- If any damage is caused by the pet, the cost of the damage will be covered in full by the tenant
- We(the homeowner) assumes no responsibility for illness or injury that may occur to pets or humans while on the premises.

All items above are the sole responsibility of the pet owner.

Again we apologise if your pet falls outside these requirements or if you feel the above rules are a bit harsh but we have had to go on the safe side with this due to the unfortunate attitude that has developed in NZ amongst non-pet owners.
